Baltimore Chapter 5th Annual CM Project Achievement Awards Submission Form

Purpose of the Award

The Baltimore Chapter of CMAA is announcing its 5th​ annual Project Achievement Awards (PAA) program. The annual PAA program recognizes outstanding achievement in the practice of construction management. Award winners serve as examples for CMAA promoting professionalism and excellence in the management of the construction process.

Evaluation

All entries must be submitted by the deadline of April 11, 2014. The Award Committee is composed of owners and professional construction managers. Each nominated project will be evaluated using the listed criteria, and entry information should be provided per the above nomination form. Only the best project in each category will be selected. Multiple submissions are welcome; however, only one award will be given per company.

Applicants are advised to address every topic on pages 2 and 3 in the order presented within. Please limit nominations to 10 pages excluding photographs, testimonials, or other supplemental information.

Criteria and Classifications

CMAA-Baltimore will recognize projects in the following categories:

  • Projects with a constructed value less than $10 million
  • Projects with a constructed value less than $30 million
  • Projects with a constructed value of less than $50 million
  • Projects with a constructed value less than $100 million
  • Projects with a constructed value greater than $100 million

The competition is open to any project within Maryland including the geographic boundaries of the Baltimore Chapter (Counties of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard, and City of Baltimore). Nominated projects must have been completed in calendar year 2013. The criteria for evaluating nominations will focus on the elements of cost, schedule, quality and overall project management, which exemplify CMAA practice standards.

Contest Notices

Firms are encouraged to include photographs, news clips and relevant articles of recognition/interest with their nomination.

Winning projects may be featured at a future CMAA Chapter Meeting as a presentation and/or project tour. All applicants are encouraged to submit a board illustrating their project for use at the Golf Outing / Luncheon.

All nominations become the property of CMAA-Baltimore to us to promote professionalism and excellence in the management of the construction process.

Firms selected for project award will be required to submit a summary write-up of their project (200 words or less) and a short PowerPoint Presentation (10 slides or less) with images of the project. These will be used at the Chapter Golf Outing / Luncheon.
